I'm uncomfortable with labels. I feel that a person is a person and no two are alike. I guess that's probably because I've never been a part of a group or team. I've never belonged, anywhere. I found scene like some people find God about a year and a half ago and have been obsessed ever since. I don't do it to be labeled. I tease my hair and wear enough to makeup to kill someone because it makes me feel beautiful. I feel a part of something, while at the same time maintaining my creativity and uniqueness. The exotic makeup, colorful, teased-up hair and tight jeans make me scene. But being scene doesn't limit you. There are no limits. Scene queens are not plastic, because of our makeup, our fake eyelashes, and stilleto heels. I feel that we are who we want to be. We make ourselves; we don't let the world do it for us. And when we need support, because we are different and people sometimes don't understand us, we have other scene queens to look to. Scene is being part of a creative fashion statement that allows you to express yourself however you want. It is a label that I am proud to wear.
