It's summertime! Time to lose the hair extensions & hair spray, and get to the pool! In this Article, I will be telling you how to get multiple hairstyles that will not only look cute, but also be appropriate for the summer heat!
Ponytail w/ bump-it-bangs!
For this look, you will simply tie your hair into a ponytail (natural hair is preferred)!
Take a teasing comb, and tease your bangs from behind, in a downward direction. Then take your teased bang, and form them into a beehive bump! Secure bump into place with desired amount of bobby-pins. Recommended to straighten lose strands, if not already straight. Pull strands of hair that are in front of the ears to create a choppy effect.
(This hairstyle also works for short hair, just don’t put a pony if your hair is not long enough!)
For this look, you will take your hair and move it into a sideways ponytail.
(If you have short bangs, you may want to secure them with a cute hair bow or just by simply pinning them back with a bobby-pin)
To add a little more to it, you'll want to curl the hair that is tied in your ponytail. This is better so you don't have to curl ALL of your hair.
(Unless hair is already naturally curly/wavy)
You will then use a ribbon to finish off the cutesy pony by tying a bow around your ponytail.
Beach waves without the beach mess
For this look, you will start off with your natural hair.
Sprits hair with a water and salt mixture using ¾ salt and ¼ water.
After you have done this put hair in a messy bun and allow to air dry.
You should have messy beach waves without all the sand and being sticky all over.
For this look, you will take your natural hair and part it into two sections.
(Top and bottom)
You will tie your top section into a lose pony with a hair grip.
Then add a long ribbon and tie into a bow.
(Try to get the ribbon to be about the same length as your hair when it is tied into a bow)
Take your flat iron and make small waves at random to give yourself a princess effect.
Tips for summer hair:
·Remember when using any heat on your hair to always use heat protection!
·Instead of dying or bleaching your hair this summer allow it to have a break, and if you must highlight it try putting lemon juice and water instead! Not only is this a natural highlight but you can also get a tan while you’re at it!
·Summer heat tends to dry out hair so always use a deep conditioner
·After swimming always wash hair with a clarifying shampoo to rid of chlorine and toxins in the hair and use a moisturizing conditioner because chlorine dries hair also!
